A new Pastor has been appointed by Bishop Grant Hagiya to Tenmile Community United Methodist Church. Below is the letter of appointment by district superentendant Rev. Gwen Drake.

Dear Friends and Members of Tenmile United Methodist Church,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
As you know, your pastor for the last 6 years, Jane Davis, is moving into her time of well-deserved retirement and leaving her assignment at Tenmile United Methodist Church on June 30, 2015.
This letter is to announce to you it is the intention of Bishop Grant Hagiya to appoint Pastor Isabelle Davis to Tenmile United Methodist Church on July 1, 2015. Pastor Isabelle has met with the Pastor-Parish Committee and they have affirmed this appointment.
Pastor Isabelle Davis is an ordained Presbyterian clergy. She has served small, part-time churches for several years. She is currently serving quarter-time at Camas Valley United Methodist Church and will continue that appointment, serving both churches.
Pastor Isabelle lives with her husband in Coos Bay. Her skills are pastoral care, administration, preaching, and teaching. She says, “My ministry is one of showing by example, by teaching, by offering fellowship opportunities. I work to follow Christ’s example of Love without prejudice, and maintain a firm connection to Jesus’ saving power upon life.”
The Bishop and cabinet will hold you in prayer as you show your gratitude and appreciation to Pastor Jane Davis. I know how much you appreciate her and she appreciates you.
I trust the Holy Spirit is at work in powerful ways in this process, ways we don’t always expect. I thank God for each of you and pray you will continue to be Christ in the community and Christ for one another. May God bless you and keep you.
